Смоленск. Спасо-Вознесенский женский монастырь
Гуляя по улицам города Смоленска, мы «набрели» на Спасо-Вознесенский монастырь. Т.к. монастырь расположен в пределах Смоленской крепостной стены, то он совсем небольшой. Но это очень древний монастырь, основанный еще в первой половине XVII веке иезуитами. Позже монастырь стал православным. 
Территория монастыря ухоженная, при этом, идут восстановительные работы. Что нас поразило в монастыре — очень красивый деревянный вертеп. Сестры очень душевные, и узнав, что мы из Москвы, с огромной заинтересованностью рассказали нам даже немного про историю не только монастыря, но и самого города.
В общем, рекомендую посетить этот монастырь. Это, на мой взгляд, будет интересно не только верующим людям, но и путешественникам, интересующимся историей города.
А еще в этом монастыре сестры делают великолепное мыло !
